We’ve designed 3 special programs for your individual needs and budget. Whether it is our basic Silver Program, our tried and true Gold Program or our elite Platinum Program, we can match your needs with the program that gives you the returns you deserve!
Our Silver Program is our basic program, and both Gold and Platinum Programs build off the services offered in the Silver Program. Review chart and indepth descriptions below.

In the Silver Program, as shown in the chart above, we offer five applications of fertilizer throughout the growing season. We use high quality granular (dry) fertilizer in every round we do. Each application comes with an application of weed control, only as necessary, and individual weeds are hand-sprayed by backpack as they appear in your lawn. Why spray herbicide where it is not needed? On healthy lawns, broadcasting broadleaf weed control is not environmental friendly, which is why we treat only where the weeds are!
The Silver Program also includes a pre-emergent application of crabgrass preventer with your first application in the spring. This will help minimize the amount of crabgrass that comes up. Areas of high concern are areas of compaction and high temperatures - which crabgrass favors -foot paths, along road ways and sidewalks, as well as where vehicles may drive over the lawn, causing compaction.
Finally, the lawn also receives a surface insect control application mid-season. This prevents such surface feeding insects as sod web worms and chinch bugs from destroying your beautiful lawn.
The Silver Program is great for the person that is looking for a la carte service, and may want to add or upgrade at a later date.
Grub control and Lime Application are separate services from the Silver Program, and can be added as long as timing is correct for the benefit of the lawn.
Many people add the Grub Control application for the peace of mind that comes with knowing that their lawn will be protected from grubs, season-long
Gold Program Request Quote
Our Gold Program is the tried and true program, with over 15 years of success on thousands of lawns, adding beauty and color to each lawn we care for.
The Gold Program essentially is a more robust Silver Program with the grub Control and lime application added, which affords our clients with the peace of mind that their lawn care program is on auto pilot, as long as they are providing the necessary water (approx. one inch of water per week).
Platinum Program Request Quote
Our Platinum Program is our flagship product, with everything the Gold Program offers, plus two high iron supplements, nutsedge control and discounted core aeration. This program really puts all the elements together to make for a lawn to be proud of, one that will make your neighbors ask you what you are doing for your lawn and/or who is doing it for you!
What does high iron do for your lawn?
We’re glad you asked!
A deep green and healthy look to the lawn, in a surprising short amount of time. Our clients love it because it gets their neighbors to ask them what or who is doing their lawn! The timely application of our high iron supplement keeps your grass a rich green color during the peak of the summer, so much so that clients who haven’t signed up for the Platinum Program will often have us put it down a week before a party or other important event!
Iron is an important turf nutrient. Although iron is not an actual component of the chlorophyll molecule, it is an essential element needed by plants to produce chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the green pigment allowing most photosynthesis in plants. Iron levels can affect turf color, even during drought stress periods.

What is Nutsedge?
Nutsedge is an unsightly, yellow-green green colored plant that detracts from the beauty of your lawn.
It is a warm season perennial plant. It looks like a grass plant, but it actually is not. It is easy to spot, and is objectionable in lawns because its grass-like leaves grow faster than those of the desirable grasses. The yellow-green, wide-bladed leaves are smooth and shiny or waxy on the upper side. Nut sedge grows 1-3 feet tall if not mowed. It thrives in all types of soil, but prefers wet areas. It does not grow in shade.
Nutsedge reproduces in three ways; tubers, bulbs and seeds. Tubers sprout in late-May until mid-July. Once the roots reach the soil surface, a bulb is formed which produces a new plant within three weeks. Each plant flowers during the summer and produces as many as 1500 seeds.
Once established, nut sedge is very difficult to control. The best time to control nut sedge is soon after it appears (June-July), before tubers form. Repeat treatment may be necessary to control the leaf material. Nut sedge plants can also be pulled up quite easily. If there is not too much of it, this may be the best way to eliminate it. Mowing at the highest possible setting during warm weather will also help to keep nut sedge from spreading. Close mowing stimulates the generation of new plants.
Greener Lawns is one of the few companies that actually treats for this plant, as the herbicide is very expensive. This treatment is actually built into our Platinum Program at a reduced price, or can be added if it appears in your lawn, but don’t wait, as it can spread quickly.
